Dr. Robert W. Corell  is a Principal and Board Member of the Global Environment Technology Foundation (US). He is actively engaged in research on the sciences of climate and global change and the interface between science and public policy. These efforts are designed to facilitate understanding of vulnerability and sustainable development in an environmentally changing world. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters during the past decade.

He was recognized along with other scientists for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his leadership and the founding of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) assessments. In 2008, awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
